I just arrived back in Melbourne after a few awesome days in Sydney.
I went to Sydney to meet up with my mastermind group and to work with my coach, Jessica Nazarali.
The timing wasn’t fabulous. I’m swamped with work in the lead up to the launch of my new blogging course and the sale of my travel blog could happen any minute which will lead to a lot of work handing it over as well.
I wondered if I was doing the right thing leaving everyone for a few days while my job list kept getting longer.
It was the best decision!
I can’t say I saw much of Sydney, but I do feel like it was an amazing experience which will help me grow my business. It was also great to make a personal connection with Jessica, her husband (who is also amazing) and my other mastermind members.
In some ways it was great timing as I was getting so bogged down and stressed with everything I had to do that it was causing me a lot of anxiety.
A few days break has been great. I’m much more positive and in the right mindset to meet all my current challenges in the best way possible.
I did learn a lot however. There was a big focus on personal branding which is exactly what I wanted to talk about as I struggle with it.
We reconnected with why we were in business in the first place, how we wanted people to feel about our brand and a zillion other things that I found very beneficial.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day and not look at the big picture.
I rarely get to talk to people in real life that are entrepreneurial and running their own businesses and this aspect was priceless as well. It can feel lonely sometimes to be in such a different head space to the majority of people I know.
One of the other big pros of my trip was going away without being a travel blogger.
I didn’t have to take photos. I didn’t even take a dedicated camera actually! I don’t have to write about it.
That felt very good!
I don’t just feel like I have moved my business forward with everything that I learned but also validated my recent choices and the direction I want to take.
