And I’m pleased to announce that it’s one that should never get us up at night.
It doesn’t require any nappy changes.
And we aren’t ever going to have to deal with it throwing food all over the room.
The newest member of our family is one that I have dreamed about for a long time.
I have always wanted a Beetle since they came back on to the Australian market. And, after I first saw the convertible version, I was sold.
I just had one problem
I am highly practical.
They were crazy overpriced back before I had kids. I toyed with the idea of getting one anyway and even paid a deposit on one once (and then backed out).
It makes even less sense now.
They are a good price second hand these days so at least I win on that front.
However, they have 4 seats and are tiny with not really any boot space. I have three kids including a baby. I’m not even sure a car seat can fit.
The bigger issue, though, is that we live in a great location and barely use the car we have.
But I have told practical me to go to hell.
I sold a nice chunk of my company last month and this is my reward.
Worse comes to worse I can sell it in a few months and at least I have got it out of my system.
I know it’s not simpler or smarter to buy a second car but then the whole reason I aim for these two things is I believe they make my life better. I also believe having Jasmine makes me life better so it’s still a win 🙂
In the meantime, I’m going to lap up the warmer weather hitting Melbourne, drive around in my Beetle and take a second to celebrate my success instead of always diving into the next thing and not giving myself a moment to enjoy how far I have come.
For haters reading this, hate away 🙂 I’m going to be too busy enjoying Jasmine!
