2017 – The Year I Sold 2/3 Of My Business

2017 has been an interesting year for me especially for my business.

I started off the year with so many plans for both my main blogs (my travel blog and digitalnomadwannabe.com).

I was going to kick huge goals. I was going to make $50,000 a month and I was going to really enjoy working full time for the first time since having kids (and the first time ever on my own business).

The year was definitely a huge success, but not in the way I expected.

The more success I had with DNW, the less I wanted to work on my travel blog anymore.

Like I posted about here, I had had enough.

I was stretched too thin and had just had it.

It’s been a month and a half since I left that blog behind and I haven’t regretted it for a second.

Between selling that and the 3 niche sites I sold, my life is much simpler and I love it.

I feel rewarded too as my income from November was the highest it had been in a few months even with losing my major income source.

I never made it to $50,000/month but I did earn far more than this with all the sales and I also managed some months over $40,000. So yeah, I’m happy.

Very happy.

I’ve also got to watch my baby boy turn into a toddler boy. My 4 year old become a 5.5 year old who is crazy ready to start school next year. My darling red head continuing to turn into a lovely little lady.

We also had some amazing adventures.

Our trip to Africa mid year was truly a trip of a lifetime – and I can’t wait to do it again one day!

We had a fabulous trip to the US, Malaysia and China.

I cannot wait for our upcoming White Christmas.

I feel very blessed and thankful that I followed this path and kept working hard on my dreams.

We are all well and happy and ready for an even bigger 2018! I really can’t wait to see where I will be this time next year.
